Participation in INTEX South Asia, Sri Lanka : 16th to 17th November 2015

Re : Participation in INTEX South Asia, Sri Lanka : 16th to 17th November 2015

The Council proposes to organize participation of its member-companies at INTEX South Asia in Colombo, Sri Lanka.  The exclusive Exhibition of textiles and accessories, which is scheduled to be organized by M/s. Worldex Exhibition & Promotion Ltd. from 16th to 17th November 2015, will showcase various textile items including apparel fabrics, clothing accessories and yarn to visiting Buyers.

South Asia – Powering the Global Apparel Industry

  • Sri Lanka is amongst the top -clothing producing countries in the world with an export target to cross US$ 8 billion by 2020. 
  • India currently ranks second in both apparel (13%) and fabric products (18%) in the world market.  India’s demand for apparel is projected to rise from US$ 65 billion in 2011 to US$122 billion by 2017.
  • Bangladesh is the world’s second- largest apparel exporters (US$30.18 billion in 2013-14) after China and projected to cross US$ 50 billion mark by 2020.
  • Pakistan is the eighth largest exporter of textile products in Asia.  Pakistan’s textiles and clothing exports have risen 45% over the past five years to US$13.7 billion in part due to benefits offered by EU under the GSP + duty minus free trade scheme.

Participation Fees

Since the above Programme is not approved for availing MDA Grants by the eligible member-participants, a special package exclusively for SRTEPC member-participants has been worked out by the Organisers for ensuring their participation in INTEX South Asia on the basis of the following two alternative options:

Option A:

  1. An amount of Rs.1.55 lakhs inclusive of taxes for a furnished booth of 9 sq mtrs. Booth package will include one info desk, one round table, three chairs, three spotlights, one facia board, one power socket, 2 garment hangers-shelves.
  2. Each participating company will be offered maximum 3 nights complimentary accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Colombo (on twin sharing basis) from 15-17 November 2015.
  3. Complimentary shuttle service from hotel to SLECC during the Fair dates.

Option B:

  1. An amount of Rs.95,000/- inclusive of taxes for a furnished booth of 6 sq. mtrs size.
  2. The booth package includes one inform desk, two chairs, two spotlights, one facia board, 1 power socket, 2 garment hangers/shelves
  3. Each company would be entitled for maximum three nights complimentary accommodation in a 4-star hotel (on twin sharing basis) from 15 to 17 November 2015.
  4. Complimentary shuttle service from hotel to SLECC during the Fair dates.

Early Bird Discount
An amount of Rs.5,000/- may be availed as an Early Bird Discount by any member- participant for confirming participation on or before Monday 7th September 2015.  It may be noted that this Early Bird Discount will be not be available to anyone, if participation is confirmed after 7th September 2015.

How to Apply
In view of the above, in case you are interested in participation in the above mentioned exclusive Exhibition in Sri Lanka, you are requested to immediately fill-in the enclosed Application Form and return the same to the Council along with full payment of participation charges by a Cheque/DD (for outstation candidates) to be drawn in favour of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, Mumbai” at the earliest but not later than 15th September 2015.
