We are glad to inform you that the Council is mobilizing participation of its member-exporters in “TEXWORLD PARIS” – a renowned Fair, which is scheduled from 15th – 18th February 2016 by Messe Frankfurt France S.A.S. at Le Bourget, Paris featuring textiles, trimmings and accessories for the fashion and garmenting industry worldwide.

 

Profile of the Event

TEXWORLD, PARIS has established itself as an important Textile Fair in Europe, which attracts a large number of buyers of textile & clothing from all over the European Union as well as other major importing countries across the world.  The Fair is regularly visited by textile/clothing manufacturers, large scale retailers, wholesalers, chain stores, departmental stores, buying houses, leading agents including Fashion Designers.

It is considered as the major international marketing platform for manufacturers and exporters of a wide range of fabrics from cotton and its blends, eco-friendly fabrics, denim, embroidery and lace, knitted fabrics, fibres, linen and hemp, jacquard, shirtings, silk, silky aspects, style, trims and embellishments as well as wool and its blends.

While, 850 exhibitors from various countries including China, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Taïwan, Thailand, Turkey and Pakistan participated in this prestigious international Fair, more than 13,000 buyers of textiles & clothing representing 109 countries visited the last edition of TEXWORLD, PARIS.


Market Potential:

Ø  Imports of Textile & Clothing by EU from the world were US$ 266.99 billion during 2014 in which India’s share was 4.25%, worth US$ 11.34 billion.

Ø  France alone imported US$ 31 billion of textiles and clothing from world during 2014 in which India’s share was 5%.

Ø  Textile imports of EU from the world account for nearly 25% (US$ 66.70 billion) of its total T&C imports.

Ø  Imports of Made-ups from the world reached over US$ 20.19 billion with a share of nearly 8%.

Ø  EU’s total imports of MMF textiles from the world during 2014 stood at US$ 45.30 billion, of which India’s share was only US$ 722.81 Million (1.60%).

Ø  France alone imported US$ 3.8 billion of MMF textiles from world during 2014 in which India’s share was only 1%.

Ø  Hence, there is tremendous scope to increase India’s exports of textile products including MMF textiles to EU in general and to France in particular and increase our market share.

Additional Publicity by SRTEPC for promoting trade of member-participants

As an additional support for SRTEPC member-participants in the Fair, the Council proposes to publicize their product and company profiles by designing & printing a separate “Exhibitors Catalogue”.  A special full page advertisement on the Texworld Paris Visitors’ Guide to be published with booth numbers of the member-participants to help the overseas buyers to easily locate out member-participants during the fair. Furthermore, the Council also proposes to promote participation of its member-companies to their target Buyers through e-mail marketing, and by sending separate invitations for visiting them during the Fair.

Besides the above, the Council will recommend for visa to representatives (not more than two) for attending the Exhibition, and also facilitate for related activities.  The Council will also compile a special “Dossier on France” to enable prospective member-companies to understand the EU/France market & its prospects. 

 

Participation Fee for TEXWORLD PARIS (Textiles)

An amount of Rs. 5.5 lakhs towards participation fee/charge has been fixed for each participating company for a standard furnished booth of 12 sqm.   It may be noted that this amount of participation fee does not include expenses relating to hotel accommodation, air-ticket of the representatives etc.

Corner Booth Fee: additional 10% will be charged on the above participation charges.

 

Market Development Assistance (MDA) Support : Since the above Programme in Paris is approved by the Government of India, the participants will be able to claim MDA benefits of Rs.1.25 Lakh. However, considering limited fund availability from the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India, only 10 eligible member-companies will be offered re-imbursements of MDA Grant of Rs.1.25 Lakhs on “First-Come-First-Served” basis, subject to the fulfillment of MDA terms and conditions.  For more details, members may like to contact the Council in the matter.

 

Early Bird discount : An Early Bird Discount of Rs.10,000/- will be offered (on the participation charges) to those companies confirming their participation with a non-refundable part payment of Rs.2 lakhs along with the dully filled in “SRTEPC Application Form” on or before 10th November 2015 (Tuesday).  The balance final payment towards participation charge may be sent on or before the last date on 23rd November 2015 to confirm participation in the Fair.  It may be noted that this discount will not be available to anyone after 10th November 2015 under any circumstances.

 

THUS, IF A COMPANY AVAILS BOTH EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT AND MDA, THE NET PARTICIPATION FEE WILL BE ONLY RS. 4.15 LAC.

 

Booth package : The booth package for participation in the Fair includes table, chairs, wastepaper basket, insurance, stand cleaning, partition walls, rods or shelves, electrical outlets, lighting, booth signage, visitor e-invitation cards and promotional network services.

 

How to apply : As the availability of space is limited, and the participation is based on First-cum-first-served basis, those interested in participating are requested to confirm their participation by sending the duly filled “Application Forms” enclosed herewith along with the participation fee as mentioned above at the earliest.  The payment for participation can be sent directly to the Council by a RTGS/Cheque/ Demand draft (for outstation participants) drawn in favour of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, Mumbai”.  Please note that the applications received by the Council without the payment will not be considered for confirmation of participation in the Fair.
