Procedural Change in Exports to Egypt

Sub.: Procedural Change in Exports to Egypt 

Dear Member,          

This is to inform you that there is a procedural change being implemented by the Egyptian Customs Authority for clearance of all shipments exported to Egypt. 

• A new Single Window Clearance system has been introduced in Egypt and will be implemented w.e.f. 1^st July 2021 for all shipments entering Egyptian Ports.  

• The new system will be operated through an Advance Cargo Information (ACID No) for which the Egyptian importer should register all needed documents of the shipment on the following portal www.nafeza.gov.eg/en.  

• The importer will then receive a shipment number which they should send to the Indian exporter to add it to the shipping documents. The importer will then clear the shipment using that number and other shipping documents with the Customs Authority (Kindly refer to the documents given  in the link). 

In case of any queries, the importer may contact the below company who is authorized by the Egyptian Customs Authority to run the Single Window System:

Members exporting to Egypt may kindly make a note of the above procedural change and inform their importers accordingly.
