Made-ups exports to Peru are free from any Safeguard Measures

Sub: Made-ups exports to Peru are free from any Safeguard Measures. 

 
As you are aware, Peruvian Government initiated safeguard investigation late in October 2020, on 284 tariff lines being imported into Peru under chapters 61, 62 and 63 originating from Bangladesh, China and India.  


We are glad to inform that, as per the communications received from the Ambassador, Embassy of India in Lima, the Peruvian authority (INDICOPI) and the High-level/Ministerial “Multi-Sectoral Committee” have vide Supreme Decree No. 008-2021-MINCETUR, decided not to impose any definitive safeguard measures on Made-ups and clothing being imported into Peru under chapters 61, 62 and 63.
