We are glad to inform you that Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India will be organising the 3rd India-CLMV Business Conclave from 12-13 January 2016 at the Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay, Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu.
You may be aware that Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) have tremendous potential for development, thus occupying a focus area within the ASEAN region. Socio-economic conditions of CLMV countries and their proximity to India provide opportunities of mutual benefit for India and the CLMV Region.
In this connection, Government of India is undertaking various initiatives to establish multi-pronged economic and business relations with the CLMV countries, thereby providing thrust on the “Act East Policy”. Better economic integration among CLMV countries will enable the Act East Policy which essentially begins from these four countries.
The two-day programme will consist of sectoral sessions, country sessions and business to business meetings and provide the opportunity to synergise on areas of mutual interest.
