Sub: Minutes of the 2nd Meeting of Working Group to formulate the Standards and Technical Regulation on four identified textile products – reg.
Dear Member,
We are glad to inform you that the Second Meeting of Working Group to formulate Standards and Technical Regulation was held on 10th February, 2016 at 11.00 am in the Office of the Textiles Committee, Mumbai.
In this connection, the Working Group has identified four Textile Products where there is a need for developing standards viz. High tenacity yarn of Nylon or other polyamides (540210), Textured yarn of Polyesters (540233), Textile fabrics, impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with plastics of polyurethane (590320) and Fabrics impregnated, coated with other plastics (590390).
With regard to the above we are attaching the two questionnaires on Polyester Textured Yarn (HS : 540233) & High Tenacity Yarn of Nylon or other Polyamides (HS: 540210) for which information including quality parameters is sought from our members on or before 5th March, 2016.
We solicit your co-operation in the matter and look forward to receive your feedback with respect to your product so that we can send a consolidated list to the Office of the Textile Committee at the earliest. Your immediate action in this regard would be highly appreciated.
The above information is required for enhancing the quality parameters and other stipulations for encouraging growth and exports.
