Re: Invitation to participate in ISTANBUL YARN FAIR in Turkey from 24 to 26 February 2022

Dear Members,

We are glad to inform you that the Council is organizing participation of its member-companies in Istanbul Yarn Fair in Turkey from 24 to 26 February 2022 in association with Embassy of India in Ankara, Turkey. The participation of Indian companies in Istanbul Yarn Fair 2022 is being supported by the Ministries of Textiles/Commerce & Industry under the MAI Scheme of Govt. of India.

Why to Visit Istanbul Yarn Fair:

Almost after 2 years of restrictions and consequent cancellation of physical events, Istanbul Yarn Fair 2022 is an opportunity to meet international buyers who are eagerly waiting for suppliers.
Physically meet the existing contacts in order to execute orders.
Physical meeting with existing suppliers / providers or partners in order to review or discuss business.
Garner industry knowledge and learnings through talks or presentations during the Fair.
Visit different exhibitor stands and areas of the show to see what is new and interesting in the industry.
Talk to as many suppliers as possible in order to investigate specific business objectives.
Networking to meet new people in order to create new business opportunities.
Focus on meeting a few specific people or companies to do business with.

Maximum Number of participants under MAI: 15 member-companies under MAI Scheme.

Participation Fees: Rs.1.60 Lakhs for a furnished stall of 9 sqm (minimum size)

Please note that the participation fee is subsidized as per the MAI grant, but does not include airfare, hotel accommodation, transportation etc. and the GST on participation fees has been waived off.

Booth package (Tentative): 1 Wooden Table, 4 Chairs, 1 Info Desk, 2 Yarn Shelves, Fascia Board with booth number, Standard Carpet, 1 spotlight (75W) for each 3m2, 1 plug group socket (220 volt), 1 Dustbin.

Booth will be of aluminum standard construction white melamine coated panels of 248 cm of stand height. Additional furniture/equipment may be available with additional cost.

Financial Grant:

As SRTEPC is organizing participation of member-companies in Istanbul Yarn Fair under the MAI Scheme of Govt, all eligible participating companies have been offered MAI subsidy for reduced amount of participation charge as above, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.
SRTEPC will also provide to all eligible participants re-imbursement of costs of 2-way airfares, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions. The reimbursement of cost of economy class airfare to eligible participants will be limited with a maximum ceiling of Rs.75,000/- subject to approval of MOC under MAI Scheme.

Criteria for availing reimbursement of airfare:

Reimbursement of airfare is eligible to the exporting company having the export turnover below Rs. 50 crores (FOB value) in the preceding financial year.
Members to have completed 12 months of Membership and is regularly filing Export returns with the Council.
Permissible only to the regular Director / Partner/ Proprietor or a regular officer of the company on Senior Managerial Position (not admissible to a foreign national)
Claim forms duly filled in and complete in all respects must be submitted to the Council within 45 days of completion of event.
Initial Application form for claiming re-imbursement of airfare should reach to Council 14 days prior to your departure date.

Conditions for availing MAI subsidy:

An exporter can avail MAI benefit for participation in 3 approved events in a financial year. 4^th time participation in the Fair will be allowed without MAI subsidy.
An exporter can claim MAI benefit for participation in one booth only. Additional booths can be booked by the participant without MAI benefit (One booth per company only for MAI eligibility)
A maximum of three participations in a particular trade fair/exhibition would only be eligible for MAI assistance, i.e., members who have availed assistance three times (including past cases) for a particular fair/exhibition, thereafter, have to participate in that fair on their own.

Publicity & Promotion: The event will be publicized extensively by the Organizers of the renowned International Fair in Turkey. The Council will also publicize the Fair suitably through a separate Exhibitors Catalogue, sending invites to relevant textile importers in Turkey and coordinate with the Indian Embassy to promote the event to the leading importers of textiles & clothing, among other publicity measures.

Visa: Though participants will have to obtain their visa on their own, the Council shall, however, facilitate their efforts to get Turkey Visa with the help of the Indian Embassy in Ankara.

COVID-19 Protocol: The representatives of the participating companies visiting Turkey to attend the Event, shall have to comply and adhere to the respective Covid-19 protocol from Turkey.

Turkish Textile & Clothing Market: Turkey is one of the major textile and clothing importing countries in the world. During 2020 Turkey’s global import of textile and clothing was around US$ 9 billion of which US$ 532 million from India, accounting for a share of 6%.

Out of the total import of US$ 9 billion, Turkey’s global import of MMF and MMF blended textiles alone were around US$ 5 billion in which India’s share was around 10% (US$ 480 million). Turkey is a leading market for Manmade fibre yarns and demand has been growing. Over 80% of our MMF textiles exports to Turkey comprised of yarns.

Apply for participation: Interested Indian companies can apply online by giving the details sought on the “Application Form” in the link. Exporters registered with SRTEPC as well as other Textile and Apparel EPCs can apply for participation in the Istanbul Yarn Fair 2022 in Turkey. Number of booths with the mentioned subsidized rate along with airfare reimbursement under the MAI Scheme, is limited to 15 and participation will be accepted on “First-come-First served” basis only upon receipt of the participation fee within the stipulated time.

Members interested to participate in the above event are requested to send their duly filled in “Application Form” along with participation fee by way of Demand Draft/Cheque in favour of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, Mumbai. Participation charge may also be sent to the Council through RTGS/NEFT transfer based on the Bank details given below:

Cancellation Policy:

Withdrawal of participation from the above Fair will be allowed on the basis of the following:

80% Cancellation charge, if withdrawn on or before 3^rd January 2022 (Monday).
No refund will be available, if withdrawn thereafter.
