Sub: FICCI Quarterly Survey on Indian Manufacturing Sector for Quarter 4, 2015-16 and Quarter 1, 2016-17.
Dear Member,
As you are aware, India’s manufacturing sector in the last quarter seem to be weakening mainly due to a slow-moving exports scenario.
Exports are primarily responsible for this slowdown besides domestic factors like poor demand conditions, high interest costs etc.
In a bid to boost the Manufacturing Sector, FICCI conducts its manufacturing survey every quarter in order to gauge the current issues of concern to the Indian manufacturing sector and to assess the performance and business situation of the sector for two consecutive quarters based on your valuable feedback. The survey assumes importance given by the Government’s impetus on the manufacturing sector and the sector’s potential to contribute in economic growth and generating employment in the country.
In order to analyse in detail the sector-wise performance of Indian manufacturing sector for the quarters January – March 2015-16 and expected performance for April – June 2016-17, FICCI is conducting this survey. The survey will help FICCI in understanding the overall business environment for Indian manufacturing sector and also various constraints facing the industry. Your valuable feedback will also help them in timely representing the cause of the industry in various high-level fora in the Government.
You are requested to please access the questionnaire from the link provided below and input information directly to FICCI with a copy to the Council.
