Regarding current Covid-19 situation in Chile and Visit Protocols

Sub: Regarding current Covid-19 situation in Chile and Visit Protocols

 

Dear Members, 

It is to inform that as per the communication received from the Embassy of India in Santiago, Chile, the Covid situation is improving in Chile and that the local government has relaxed Covid-19 protocols for visitors. However, the following information on COVID protocols for international arrivals in Chile may please be noted while planning for any visit to Chile:

 

a) All passengers should validate their vaccination schedule (should have taken at least two doses) and obtain their mobility pass (https://mevacuno.gob.cl) prior to entry into Chile.

b) All passengers need to carry a negative PCR test result, not older than 72 hours counted from the departure of the flight to Chile.

c) All passengers need to complete the Affidavit for travelers available on the website www.c19.cl and carry confirmation copy as proof of submission of the affidavit.

d) Passengers will be selected randomly at the airport to undergo PCR test on arrival at Santiago airport and will have to be under isolation till they receive a negative report. If the report is positive seven days quarantine is mandatory. All other passengers do not need to undergo quarantine.

e) A medical insurance with minimum coverage for health services for USD$30.000 including Covid-19 is required. Government of Chile may further relax Covid-19 regulations for visitors in future.
