Re: Invitation to participation in Texworld New York City / Apparel Sourcing New York City / Home Textile Sourcing Fair in USA during July 2022

We are glad to inform you that the Council is organizing participation of Indian companies in Texworld New York City / Apparel Sourcing New York City / Home Textile Sourcing Fair in USA from 19 to 21 July, 2022 in association with Indian Mission in USA and support of Ministries of Textiles/Commerce & Industry under the MAI Scheme of the Govt. of India for the year 2022-23.

6. Participation fee : Rs. 3.15 Lakhs for a furnished stall of 9 sqm (subsidized rate)

2 sides open booth will be available with an additional cost of USD 500, which will be charged upon allocation.

(Please note that the participation fee is subsidized as per the MAI grant, but does not include airfare, hotel accommodation, transportation etc.)

7. Number of participants: 10 member-companies under MAI Scheme (First-cum-First-Serve basis)
8. Booth Package     : Wall-to-wall carpet , LED lights , Table & chairs , Booth ID signs , Booth cleaning & security , Marketing / PR support , Hang bars etc.

All the above furniture & product display equipment will be provided based on the local availabilities.  Any extra costs for additional requirements, other than those mentioned in the booth package, will have to be borne by participants on the basis of actual costs, which will be charged by the Organizers.

Financial Grant: 

1. As SRTEPC is organizing participation of member-companies in Texworld New York City/Apparel Sourcing New York City/Home Textile Sourcing Fair under the MAI Scheme of Govt, all eligible participating companies have been offered MAI subsidy for reduced amount of participation charge as above, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.
2.  SRTEPC will provide to all eligible participants re-imbursement of costs of 2-way air-fares, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions.  The reimbursement of cost of economy class air-fare to eligible participants will be limited with a maximum ceiling of Rs.1.25 Lakhs,  subject to approval of MOC under MAI Scheme.

Criteria for availing reimbursement of air-fare:

• Reimbursement of airfare is eligible to the exporting company having the export turnover below Rs.50 crores (FOB value) in the preceding financial year.  However, member-exporters with zero export in the last Financial year will not be eligible.
• Members to have completed 12 months of Membership and is regularly filing Export returns with the Council.
• Permissible only to the regular Director / Partner/ Proprietor or a regular officer of the company on Senior Managerial Position (not admissible to a foreign national)
• Claim forms duly filled in and complete in all respects must be submitted to the Council within 30 days of completion of event.  Need to submit all travel documents like tickets copy with cost, boarding passes etc.
• Initial Application form for claiming re-imbursement of air-fare should reach to Council 14 days prior to your departure date.

USA T&C Market :

• USA is the leading importer of textiles & clothing, which is valued at around USD 127.92 billion. 
• India’s share in USA’s total import is around 8.72% amounting to USD 11.16 billion  

Exports of India’s MMF textiles to USA during last three years 

Terms & Conditions:

• MAI subsidized participation fee will be available to the eligible participants (for more details, you may either contact MAI dept., or refer the same in the SRTEPC website – www.srtepc.in)
• MAI subsidized booth is available only on “One company-one booth” based principle. This will mean, one member-company can get only one booth with subsidized participation fees.  But participants will be free to book any number of booths of their choice at market cost of the same, which is payable to the Organizers.
• Participation fee doesn’t include expenses like airfares, hotel accommodations, etc. of visiting representatives.
• Participants will have to obtain their visa on their own, though the Council will facilitate their efforts by arranging SRTEPC Recommendatory Letters and “Note Verbal” from the concerned Indian Embassy. 
• All participants must abide by the basic guidelines of the Organizers for participation in the Fair
• Council proposes to select around 10 companies only with MAI subsidized participation fee in the Fair.  However, in excess of 10, member-exporters can participate in the Fair at market cost.
• Last date for receiving Application with full payment is 31^st May 2022
• Participation will be accepted on “First-come-First served “basis.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation of participation will be decided on the following:

• 80% Cancellation charge, if participation is withdrawn on or before 5^th June 2022.
• No refund will be available if participation is withdrawn on any date thereafter.

In view of the above, those interested in participation in the above event should apply to the Council immediately by filling online “Application Form” (Link : https://forms.office.com/r/fqewBFgSdz) with a Cheque/DD of Rs.3.15 Lakhs for a booth of 9 sqm drawn in favor of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, Mumbai”.
