Presentation on investment opportunities in port-linked industrial zones in Vietnam

Circular No.ES/17/2016-17                                                         April 27, 2016

To: Members of the Council

Sub: Presentation on investment opportunities in port-linked industrial zones in Vietnam.

Dear Member,

We are glad to inform our Members that The Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) along with The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) is organising a presentation on the investment opportunities in the Dinh Vu Industrial Zone, Haiphong, Vietnam (DVIZ). The presentation will be held on 3rd May in the office of SRTEPC located at 1st Floor, Resham Bhavan, Churchgate, Mumbai from 3.30 pm onwards.

DVIZ is located adjacent to the new Deep Sea Port of Lach Huyen (the Haiphong International Gateway Port). With this new deep water port, which is currently under construction and is the first deep water port for the north, reliable, timely and cost efficient imports and exports from the north of Vietnam will now be possible (no trans-shipment required anymore!)!

Together with the other opportunities of North Vietnam (like tax advantages,  low labour cost, reliable power), a major shift in FDI from the South to the North of Vietnam has taken place in the last years.

The objective of the presentation is to share the investment opportunities available and emerging in Vietnam specifically linked to the advantages of setting up an industrial / logistics base with the implementation of the TPP regulations.

Interested members may kindly send their confirmation to attend the presentation not later than 30th April to  es@srtepc.in.

Thanking You

Yours faithfully,
