Sub: Public Notice 23/2022 

Dear Member,        

This is to inform you that Sahar Air Cargo Customs (ACC) has issued Public Notice No. 23/2022 dated 26^th June, 2022.  

ACC has received several representations from the stakeholders highlighting the problems faced by the trade during peak hours. Thus, the data relating to hourly clearing of export cargo was gathered from EDI. It was found that period between 6 PM to 9 PM is the peak time.  

It was observed that, about 3/4^th of the cargo is cleared during 2 PM to 10 PM and about 8 hours witness no cargo clearance. The change of batch at 8 PM creates additional pressure on already overburdened officers and CHAs / Exporters due to peak workload. Therefore, after consultation with the trade, decisions have been by ACC in this regard.
