Extension of Date for Mandatory electronic filing of Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin through the Common Digital Platform to 31.3.2023

Sub: Extension of Date for Mandatory electronic filing of Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin through the Common Digital Platform to 31.3.2023 

Dear Member,      

As you are aware, the extension of the transition period for mandatory filing of applications for Non-Preferential (NP) Certificate of Origin (CoO) through the e-CoO Platform was made available till 1^st August 2022.    

Now, in this regard, we are pleased to inform you that –   

• DGFT has further extended the date for mandatory electronic filing of NP CoO through the Common Digital Platform to 31^st March 2023 vide its Trade Notice No.15/2022-23 dated 1^st August, 2022.  

• While the exporters and NP CoO Issuing Agencies would have the option to use the online system, the same shall not be mandatory till 31^st March 2023.  

• The existing systems of processing NP CoO applications in manual/paper mode are being allowed.   

• For guidance on registration and online application submission process, Help Manual & FAQs is made available at https://coo.dgft.gov.in 

For any issues relating to the IT system and its implementation, members may kindly contact the O/o DGFT for appropriate action.
