Sub: Request for Inputs on Procurement Order for Technical Textiles
Dear Member,
As you are aware that the Government of India has issued the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order 2017 vide the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) Notification No. P-45021/2/2017-PP (BE.II) (Revised) dated 16.09.2020 to encourage ‘Make in India’ and to promote manufacturing and production of goods and services in India with a view to enhancing income and employment. As per this order (copy attached), preference is given in central government tenders or its agencies for domestically manufactured goods subject to minimum local value addition. As such, Ministry of Textiles (MOT) has issued the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order prescribing Minimum Local purchase Content on 23.10.2019 for ten various segments of technical textiles except Meditech and Protech. This local value additions were finalised in 2019 as follows:

Since, Ministry is in the process of issuing fresh order as per the directions of DPIIT order dated 16.09.2020 (copy enclosed), it is requested to offer afresh comments so that necessary orders on 10 segments are issued.
In view of the above, we would request you to send us your comments on the email id a.jaiswal@srtepc.in with cc to es@srtepc.in positively on or before 17th December, 2022.
In case no comments are received, we would presume your consent for the documents and accordingly communicate the same to Ministry.
