In an effort to expand the Textile Exports in existing and new markets, SRTEPC is supporting Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and SOWTEX, a Tech aggregator B2B sourcing platform for Fashion & Textiles materials with 25000 registered business is actively building buyers – suppliers’ community to increase the exports of MMF Textiles in the near future.

SOWTEX has collaborated with SRTEPC, CITI & Bangladesh Garment Manufactures & Exporters Association (BGMEA) to expand Sourcing of Raw materials from India.

We may mention here that BGMEA is accelerating the export growth and is looking for USD100 bn goal by 2030. To achieve this goal, the RMG sector of Bangladesh is looking for reliable and quality raw materials supply from India. The demand for Man-made fibre-based garments are growing and India is a reliable source of Man-made fiber based fabrics and lots of speciality fashion fabrics. To this extend, BGMEA, SRTEPC, SOWTEX and CITI have planned to organize “Textile Sourcing Roadshows” from 9 to 11 February, 2023 in India.

The event will be led by President of BGMEA Mr.Faruque Hassan and Vice President Mr. Shahidullah Azim along with a team of delegates from Bangladesh RMG Industries. The BGMEA Team is coming for close interactions with top Indian Textile Manufacturers in three cities viz Delhi - Ahmedabad - Surat. Team SOWTEX is co-hosting these Textile Roadshows and is inviting strategic stakeholders from SRTEPC, CITI, Denim Manufacturing Association, FABEXA & Ministry of Textile, GOI to have a close networking among the various stakeholders together.
