Sub: Categorisation of Membership

Dear Sir,

The next Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Council will be held on 22nd September 2023 (Friday).

There are few vacant seats in the Committee of Administration of the Council for which elections will be held.

Eligibility for Voting & to Contest in the election:

To be eligible for voting and also to contest the elections, registered members must fulfil the following criterias:

• Renewal of Membership for the year 2023-2024 on or before 19^th Aug 2023 (Saturday).
• Fill up and submit export details for the years 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23 in the enclosed format (Download format) by 19^th Aug 2023 (Saturday).

In this regard, please note the following:

1. Only Authorized Representatives of Ordinary Members, whose names are officially registered with the Council, are eligible to vote and also to stand for the election. The ordinary members should have some exports of Man-Made Fibre Textile Items during the last three years, i.e., 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23.
2. Any change in the Authorized Representative should be notified to the Council on the Company’s letter head. Additionally, a copy of the Authorized Representative’s Pan Card and a Board Resolution from the Association / Company / Society / Corporation, nominating the new Authorized person must be submitted to the Council. This will enable Council to update its records with regard to the change of name of the Authorized Representative. Non-compliance of this requirement will lead to continuation of the Representative as per the Council’s records. Request to change in the name of Authorized person will not be accepted after 19^th Aug 2023 (Saturday).

We, therefore, request you to please send the Proforma, duly filled in and signed by the Authorised person, on or before 19^th Aug 2023 (Saturday). Non-compliance of the above criterias/requirements by the members, will make them ineligible to vote and to contest in the forthcoming Election.

Sub: Categorisation of Membership for Election purpose

Dear Sir,

The Council is in the process of selecting its Vice-Chairman. The process will be completed in May, 2023. In this regard, the requirements for voting by registered members are as follows:

1. Registered members should renew their Membership for the year 2023-2024 on or before 11th April, 2023.

2. The registered members need to fill up their export details for the years 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23 in the enclosed format.(Download format)

Further only Authorised Representative of the Ordinary Members whose names have been registered with the Council are eligible to vote to elect the Vice-Chairman. (Please note that only Members from the Committee of Administration can stand for election for the post of Vice-Chairman). The ordinary members should have some export performance during the last three years i.e. 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23.

In case of change in Authorised person, you are requested to intimate about the change to the Council on your company letterhead along with a copy of the Pan Card and a copy of the board resolution from the Association, Company, Society, or Corporation of the nominated authorised person to enable us to update our records.

You are, therefore, requested to send the proforma duly filled in and signed by the authorised person clearly stating the exports of Man-Made Fibre Textile Items during the preceding three financial years i.e., 2020-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23 on or before 11th April 2023.

You are once again informed that members who have renewed their membership for the year 2023-24 and also submitted their categorisation of membership details to the Council as on 11th April 2023 only will be eligible to vote for the election of Vice-Chairman.

If you do not send the name of the Authorized Representative, your existing representative’s name in our records will be accepted for the purpose of election. Please also note Change of authorised person will not be accepted after 11th of April 2023.

Please note that non-compliance of the above by the registered /ordinary members, will make the member ineligible to vote in the forthcoming Election of the Vice-Chairman.
