Sub: Entry of factory stuffed (included self sealed) export containers into port terminals prior to LEO
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Central Board of Excise and Customs has issued Instruction – F. No. 450/25/2009- Cus- IV dated 07th September, 2016 on the above subject.
As per the current practice of JNPT, following category of export containers are allowed direct entry into the port terminal prior to granting LEO such as Factory stuffed Cargo of Exporters having Status Certificate, 100% EOUs and units of SEZs, etc.
In this connection, CBEC vide Circular No. 33/2016-Cus dated 22.07.2016 had allowed the facilitation measure of Direct Port Entry to all AEO Tier-I/II/III status holders.
