Sub : Examination/ Inspection of goods under import without Delivery Order
.Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Office of the Commissioner of Customs, New Customs House, Mumbai has issued Public Notice No. 107/2016 dated 12.09.2016 regarding inspection of goods under import without Delivery Order.
In this connection, decision has been taken to reduce the cost/dwell time of clearance of cargo, the inspection of the goods will be allowed by the Customs Officers without any insistence of Delivery Order. Mumbai Port and Importer shall present the goods for examination of the cargo as soon as the goods are registered for examination. However, cargo will be released after production of Delivery Order.
