Sub: Acceptance of High Sea Sales Contract on Rs. 100 Stamp Paper
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Office of the Pr. Commissioner of Customs, Sahar (Mumbai) has issued Facility Circular No. 11/2016-17 dated 14.09.2016 clarifying that the 'High Seas Sale' is an agreement of sale between two private entities and not Customs & Central Excise Bond, as covered by the Maharashtra Stamp Act, 2015.
In this connection, the Import Noting section is accepting Rs. 100/- Stamp Paper instead of Rs. 500/- Stamp Paper for "High Seas Sale" agreement.
