Sub: - Entry of factory stuffed (including self sealed) export containers into port terminals prior to LEO
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Office of the Commissioner of Customs, JNPT (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public Notice No. 134/2016 of September, 2016 on the above subject.
In this connection, attention is invited of the members to the Public Notice No. 52/2009 dated 06.08.2009 with regard to the procedures to be followed of factory stuffed export containers into Port Terminals after LEO and also about the five categories of the factory stuffed containers that were exempted from the new procedure for obtaining LEO before moving the Container to the Port Terminal and permitted direct entry into port terminals, prior to granting LEO.
Also, attention is invited to the CBEC’s Instruction – F. No. 450/25/2009- Cus- IV dated 07th September, 2016 on the given subject.
