Sub: - Deferred Payment of Import Duty Rules, 2016

 Dear Member,

This is to inform you that the Central Board of Excise & Customs (CBEC) has issued Notification No. 134/2016-Customs (N.T.) dated 02.11.2016 regarding the Deferred Payment of Import Duty Rules, 2016. These rules shall come into force on the 16^th day of November, 2016.                                                                                  

Also, Board has granted permission to the Importers certified under Authoized Economic Operator programme (Tier- Two and Tier- Three) to make deferred payment of import duty vide Notification No. 135/2016-Customs (N.T.) dated 02.11.2016

Members may kindly make note of the above.
