Sub: - Simplified procedure for the amendments in the Import General Manifest (IGM)
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Office of the Commissioner of Customs- Mumbai (New Customs House) has issued Facility Notice no. 05/2016 dated 11.11.2016 intimating about a consolidated guideline for carrying out amendment to the IGM that is issued with twin objectives of ease of doing business and to reduce the dwell time of imported cargo clearance as a trade facilitation measure. In this connection, you may refer to Boards Circular No. 13/2005 dtd 11.03.2005 and No. 44/2005 dated 24.11.2005 on this subject.
The amendment types in IGM are categorized as “Major” amendments and “Minor” amendments, and are indicated in “Annexure -A‟ to this Facility Notice.
