Sub: Concept Note on Certification of origin of goods for EU Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) with the Registered Exporter System
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt of India has issued notice vide No. 8/3/2008-RMTR dated 30th November 2016 on the above subject.
As you may be aware, the European Union is replacing the current system of Certificates of Origin (COO) Form A by the competent authorities under EU GSP, with a system of self-certification of origin of goods by the exporters themselves using statement of origin. India has opted to switch over to the new system with effect from 1st January, 2017. A concept note on European Union(EU’s) Generalised System of Preference (GSP) Scheme of Self Certification is enclosed for your reference.
