Sub: Simplified procedure for the obtaining Rotation Number
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Office of the Commissioner of Customs, JNCH (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public No. 166/2016 dated 02.12.2016 intimating about the revised procedure for obtaining “Rotation Number”, in respect of Out bound vessel, as a trade facilitation measure, with objective of ease of doing business.
As you may be aware, a rotation number is given to a ship by port authorities specially by Customs Authorities to indicate the ships turn to berth for loading (and/ or) discharging. It is based on ship’s arrival and reporting by the master or agent to the port authorities.
Members may kindly refer to the revised procedure given in the above Public Notice and make note of the same.
