Sub: Computation and publishing of average dwell time by CFS on their website and communication to Customs, instruction issued under “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009”:
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that the Office of the Commissioner of Customs, JNCH (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public No. 168/2016 dated 05.12.2016 on the above subject.
In this connection, attention is invited of the Container Freight Stations (CFS) falling in the jurisdiction of JNCH to the Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as “HCCAR, 2009”) as amended by Notification No. 96/2010 dated 12.11.2010.
For more information regarding the directions issued in terms of Clause (n) of Regulation 5(1), Sub Regulation (4) of Regulation 5 and Regulation 6(1)(q) of Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009
In order to increase ease of doing business, reduce dwell time and bring transparency in the functioning of CFSs, following directions are issued in terms of Clause (n) of Regulation 5(1), Sub Regulation (4) of Regulation 5 and Regulation 6(1)(q) of Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 kindly refer to the above Public Notice. These directions are issued in order to increase ease of doing business and reduce dwell time and to bring transparency in the functioning of CFSs.
