Sub: Printing of EP Copy (Prescribed time limit)
Dear Member,
We wish to inform you that JNCH Customs has issued Public Notice No. 04/2017 dated 10.01.2017 on the above subject matter.
In this regard, it may be further informed that during the Permanent Trade Facilitation Committee (PTFC) Meeting and other meetings held in the Customs it was brought to the notice to clear the pendency of Export Promotion (EP) Copy printouts of Shipping Bills filed prior to issue of CBEC Circular No. 55/2016-Customs,dated 23.11.2016.
It may be informed that after issuance of CBEC Circular No. 55/2016-Customs, dated 23rd November, 2016 and subsequently issuance of Public Notice No. 152/2016 dated 24th November, 2016, the EP Copy of Shipping Bills are not required.
In view of the above, in order to facilitate the trade and to clear the past pending EP printout, EP Copies Print Section has been made functional in four Container Freight Stations (CFSs) namely – JWC CFS, Punjab Conware CFS, Maharashtra State Warehousing Corporation (MSWC) CFS and Distripark CFS till 31st January, 2017.
Members may please note that EP Copy Print will be available only in respect of those shipping bills, which were filed before issuance of Boards Circular No. 55/2016-Customs dated 23rd November, 2016 and hence no EP Copy printouts will be made available after 31st January 2017.
Members may kindly make note of the above changes.
