Re: Participation in EXPOCOMER, PANAMA from 22-25 March 2017 with enhanced MDA Grant
As you are aware, the Council is organizing participation of its member-companies in EXPOCOMER from 22nd to 25th March, 2017, Central America’s most recognized, multi-sectorial International Fair of Textiles, among other products like footwear, costume jewellery etc. Numerous businessmen visit EXPOCOMER annually – searching for business opportunities, partnerships and customers. Panama’s main product of import from India is textiles, which represent a major component of this Fair.
Panama is a growing market of textiles and clothing products, including Fabrics, Yarn that are made with different fibres like MMF/Cotton, Silk Items and Readymade Garments of different varieties.
The Colon Free Trade Zone (CFZ) continues to play a key role in the regional and global trade, as does the Panama Canal. People from all over the world come to Panama to do business in the CFZ. The Colon Free Trade Zone is the main Commercial Distribution Centre for Central America, the Caribbean and parts of South America. As the second largest Free Trade Zone in the world, eclipsed only by Hong Kong, the Colon Free Zone (CFZ) houses more than 2500 merchants spread over 400 hectares of land, and receives more than 2,50,000 visitors annually from all over the world.
An amount of Rs.2.25 lakhs is to be paid towards participation fee in the above Fair for a Standard furnished booth of 9 sq.mtrs. (3m x 3m). Against this amount, an amount of Rs. 1.65 lakhs will be offered by the Council to eligible participants (but no restriction for any company on maximum export turnover of Rs. 30 crores) towards Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) grant through the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India to a maximum number of 15 member-companies.
How to apply : In view of the above, in case, you are keen to participate in the above Fair in Panama, as time available is extremely short, you need to immediately confirm your company’s participation by sending us the duly filled-in enclosed “Application Form” at the earliest. Since time is very short, if participation is confirmed, you may like to send your payment for participation fee of Rs. 2.25 lakhs through RTGS transfer (for Bank details, please refer the enclosed Application Form). Should you need any clarification/additional information on any matter for the participation in the Fair in Panama, you may like to refer our original below mention Circular message dated 23rd January, 2017, besides contacting to us by email/on phone.
