Dear Member,
As you are aware, Merchandise Export from India Scheme (MEIS) plays a significant role in the growth of exports of the Synthetic & manmade textiles. This Scheme was introduced by the Government during release of the New FTP 2015-20. However, during October-November 2016 most of our member-exporters started facing problems while filing MEIS application related to shipping bills and EBRC data for MEIS applications filed during October-November 2016
In this connection, the Council had taken up the matter with concerned authorities at various foras for an early solution in the matter, as huge amount of the exporters funds were blocked.
The issue was once again raised in the Grievance Redressal Meeting held in the Office of the Addl.DGFT, Mumbai on 2nd March 2017, the Additional DGFT informed the Members present at the Meeting that - “For problems related to shipping bills and EBRC data for MEIS applications filed during October-November 2016, please send your email to dgftedi@nic.in with details and subject as "Reg-MEIS application".
In case you are facing the above problem during that period, we request you to send an email on the above email id immediately with a copy marked to the Council for an early solution in the matter regard.
