Sub: Suggestions on All Industry Rates (AIRs) of duty drawback under the GST framework
Dear Member,
We have received a communication from the Drawback Department vide Letter No. 609/23/2017- DBK dated 23.02.2017 inviting suggestions on All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback under GST.
As you may be aware, the Government is likely to implement Goods and Services Tax (GST) w.e.f. 01st July 2017.
In order to ensure smooth transition to GST framework, the Drawback committee will formulate and recommend revised All Industry Rates (AIRs) of drawbacks on exports and/ or any other relevant drawback like rebate to be implemented for exports in the context of new GST environment and/ or remnant tax structure.
Members are requested to kindly send your valuable suggestions/ comments, if any to SRTEPC (es@srtepc.in) latest by 14th March, 2017 for further submission to the Drawback Department for consideration.
Members are requested to make note of the above and do the needful.
