TO MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL,

Re: Feedbacks on participation in exhibitions to be held in specified markets in EU & LA Countries from 2018-19 to 2020-21

On the basis of the directives of the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India, the Council needs to immediately identify potential markets for organizing exhibitions/participation in International Fairs for the further expansion of our trade during the next three Financial Years (2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21) at the earliest.

In this regard, the Council proposes to organize exhibitions/participation in International Fairs in some specified markets (Annexure A) for further promotion of our export-trade there.

In this connection, in order to enable the Council to organize participations in International Fairs, or organize exclusive Indian Textile Exhibitions (Stand Alone Events) in markets that hold huge potential for expanding our export-trade of MMF textiles, we request you to specify at least 4 leading markets along with specific names of leading International Fairs (if any) from each of 2 regions (EU & LAC), and inform us the same (in order of your preference – first preference, second preference and so on).

However, for any reason, in case, you feel that there are other markets, which are much bigger/potential than the countries listed in Annexure A, then you are also absolutely free to mention the same along with suggested names of leading International Fairs (in order of your preferences/rankings – 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th). Furthermore, when you identify new markets for organizing exhibitions, and give your feedbacks to the Council, you need to give your reasons for the selection of the same.

We may mention here that on the basis of the feedbacks of member-participants, and input that are connected with the interest of our Trade & Industry, the Council proposes to compile a final schedule of Exhibitions/Fairs in specified markets for their submission to the Ministry for its final views/decisions on the same. We may also mention here that if no prominent International Fair exists in any specified leading market, then Stand Alone exclusive Indian Textile Exhibitions may be proposed for our participation.

In view of the above, since the Council was directed by the MOC to submit the required information on potential markets/International Fairs at the earliest, you are requested to send your feedbacks (form), on the basis of the above mentioned details, using the attached Annexure B to the Council on or before the expiry of the last date, as mentioned above.
