Sub: Scheme guidelines on Pradhan Mantri Paridhan Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMPRPY) Plan Scheme
We wish to inform you that the Ministry of Textiles has issued an Office Memorandum dated 16th March 2017 informing about extension of Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Paridhan Protsahan Yojana (PMPRPY) Plan Scheme to made-ups Sector of Textile.
This new scheme implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Employment in 2016-17 called the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Paridhan Protsahan Yojana (PMPRPY) had released the Guidelines to the Scheme vide dated 9th August, 2016 and subsequently they been approved by the Cabinet for extension of the Scheme to made-ups Sector of Textiles.
The objective of the Scheme is to promote employment generation. An important factor of the PMPRPY scheme is to encourage employers of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to avail benefits.
Accordingly, the addendum to the guidelines is given in the above Office Memorandum. This shall come into force from 16th March, 2017. This addendum is to be read with Pradhan Mantri Paridhan Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMPRPY) Plan Scheme guidelines which were issued on 9th August 2016 read with the modification on 23rd February, 2017 to the said Scheme.
The Office Memorandum by the Ministry of Textiles further states that EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organisation of India) will make necessary arrangements for extending PMPRPY to made-ups.
