Sub: Extension of e-payment deadline and of banking hours.
Dear Member,
Attention is invited to our earlier Circular No. ES/ 358/ 2016- 17 dated 29.03.2017 wherein CBEC has issued Circular No. 205/03/2017-ST dated 27.03.2017 informing about the decision taken by the Reserve Bank of India vide notification RBI/2016-17/250 dated 16.03.2017 that;
· All agency banks shall keep the counters of their designated branches conducting government business open up to 6.00 pm on March 30, 2017, and up to 8.00 p.m. on March 31, 2017.
· All electronic transactions would, however, continue till midnight of March 31, 2017. Hence, the assessees can make e-payment till the midnight of March 31, 2017.
Now, Mumbai Customs has issued Public Notice No. 38/207 dated 29.03.2017 on the above subject.
