Sub: Korea Importers Invite Indian Companies for Business Opportunity in Korea 15th Import Goods Fair (IGF) from 22nd – 24th June, 2017 at Seoul, Korea
Dear Member,
The Council is glad to inform you that FEDERATION OF INDIAN EXPORT ORGANISATIONS (FIEO) is participating for the first time in Korea 15th Import Goods Fair from 22nd to 24th June, 2017 at Seoul, Korea. This is 15-years old only exhibition focused on showcasing Imported Consumer Goods by all overseas companies. 2016 edition of IGF had participation of 234 companies from 46 countries and 20,000 visitors.
The fair is being organized by KOIMA (Korea Importers Association) only officially recognized Importers Association. They are also leading a Business Delegation to Delhi & Chennai during June, 2017 and FIEO is planning to organize B2B meet with them at Delhi and Chennai. It may be apprised that first 40 Indian applicants of IGF will be able to interact with the Business Delegates.
The details of the Fair are as follows:
Date: 22nd to 24th June, 2017 (Thursday to Saturday)
Time: 10:00 am to 05:00 pm
Venue: Hall B, COEX, Seoul, Korea
Participation fees: Subsidized Participation charges @Rs.85,000/-* Non-Refundable.
*(Subject to approval from MOC) ( Includes Standard built up stall of 9/ 1 Information desk/ 1 Folding Chair/ 3 Spotlights/ Power Outlet (1KW)/ Fascia Board/ Carpet/ Walls Round Table/ 4 Chairs/ Catalog Stand/ Dustbin ), RS.5,000/- Extra For Corner Booth Subject To Availability. (Please note that, this fee does not include airfare, sending display material and other related expenditure which are to be borne by the companies)
*(This is an approximate amount of participation subject to approval from the Ministry of Commerce. In case of any variation in terms of quantum of fund approved, this amount may vary and will be intimated to the participants)
VISA: FIEO will issue the visa recommendation letter to the participants.
Exhibit Profile: Handicrafts; Cosmetics, Food & Beverages; Home Decoration, Jewellery & accessories, Electric & Electronic appliances, Daily necessities, Children items, Sports & leisure items; Trade & Travel service etc.
The event will comprise of 3 different components:
1)Trade Show, 2) Business Matching and 3) Conference
India-South Korea Economic Relations:
A bilateral Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed between the two sides in August 2009. Trade between India and South Korea stood at USD 16.5 Billion approx in 2015-16. During the visit of Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in May, 2015, the relations were upgraded to Special Strategic Partnership as a result there is an inclination of Korea Importers to increase imports from India and explore investments.
Members interested in attending the Fair are requested to kindly fill the details given in the Registration Form (Download File (Registration Form-KOREA 2017.doc) along with the participation fees made only by Demand Draft in the name of FEDERATION OF INDIAN EXPORT ORGANISATIONS payable at New Delhi latest by 02nd May, 2017.
