Sub: Improving quality of Indian Textiles for conformity Assessment of Textiles and Clothing for Japanese Markets
Dear Member,
The Council is glad to inform you that Textile Committee, a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Textiles, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Japan Textile Products Quality and Technology Centre (QTEC), Japan which is one of the very renowned organizations in Japan providing world class facilities for quality evaluation, standardization, technology evaluation, conformity assessment, technical guidance and education, factory certification for the textile industry of Japan.
The Textiles Committee has entered into this MoU with QTEC with following objectives:
In this connection, we would like to inform you that Textiles Committee is organising capacity building programs at 9 major textile clusters of India. In Mumbai the programme is schedule on 18th May, 2017 in Textile Committee Auditorium, Prabhadevi from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Mr. Tasaka, Director, Overseas Coordination Department of QTEC and Mr. Kei Funaki, ASEAN & South Asia Regional Manager, QTEC will be addressing the gatherings on the occasion. A detailed centre wise programme schedule is given in Annexure-1.
