Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Scheme

In a Meeting held on 3rd November 2016 with the Regional Associations/Sectoral Associations it was decided to take up Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme announced by the Government of India with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry  (CITI) acting as a Project Implementing Agency (PIA) and Regional Associations/ Sectoral Associations will be RPL facilitators/ Resource Mobilising Agency.

RPL is a short duration programme (12 hour) that seeks to certify the existing skills of employees in the textile sector. It helps regional industry associations to generate revenue and to serve the industry with skill training and certification. RPL is one of the two major schemes under the Prime Minister’s Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)- A National level skill development initiative.
