Sub: Implementation of GST on 01St July, 2017 & preparation

Dear Member,

Mumbai Customs has issued Public notice No. 76/2017 dated 28.06.2017 on the above subject.

CBEC has decided to implement the following preparatory steps to usher in GST on 01^st July, 2017:

1. 1^St July will be known as “GST Day” and celebrated in all offices of CBEC.

2. As a trade facilitation measure, all the offices of CBEC will be open on 1^St July, 2017 to enable the availability of the officers & staff in their work places for the benefit of members of Trade.

3. All field offices shall serve as GST Seva Kendras for effective trade facilitation. These GST Seva Kendras will give guidance to GST assesses, render assistance to taxpayers in migration, registration as well as filing of returns.
