Dear Member,

As you may be aware, with the roll out of GST, it has become mandatory for exporters to migrate into the new system of paying taxes. For this, members will have to register themselves to get the Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN). This number is of 15 digits. Accordingly, a company will have just one identification number which is the GSTIN.

GST Registration requirement:

Businesses which carry out a taxable supply of goods or services under GST regime and whose turnover exceeds the threshold limit of Rs 20 lakh/ 10 Lakh as applicable will be required to register as a normal taxable person.

Online GST Procedure:

GST registration procedure would be online through the portal maintained by Central or State Government

Members are requested to kindly obtain their GSTIN as soon as possible and send it to SRTEPC ( at the earliest. Those who have already obtained the GSTIN, are requested to send to the Council for intimating the same to the Government.

Thanking you,
