Sub:  Exemption of Levy of Amendment fee and charges for late filing of Bill of Entry

Dear Member,

Air cargo Customs (Sahar) has issued Facility Notice No. 13/20017 dated 14.07.2017 on the above subject.

Kind attention is invited of members of Trade to Public Notice No. 11/2017 dated 04.04.2017 concerning changes in the provisions of Section 46 and 47 of the Customs Act, 1962 and issued Facility Notice No.10/ 2017 dated 05.07.2017 regarding exemption of Levy of Amendment fee and charges for late filing of Bill of Entry.

As a measure of trade facilitation, it has been decided that

• The facility provided vide Facility Order No. 10/2017 dated 05.07.2017 is further extended and accordingly, for the consignments having entry inward date from 06.07.2017 to 22.07.2017, there will be no charge on late presentation of Bill of Entry

• The Customs brokers/ importers has to submit evidence to show that efforts were made for submitting a job in ICEGATE for filing Bill of Entry but no positive acknowledgement was received from ICES for such consignments.

• All such cases of waiver of late filing charges pertaining to the above said period would be dealt with by the respective DC/ AC on merits.
