Sub: Notifications related to Customs (N.T.) of CBEC

Dear Member,

Members may kindly refer to the following notifications issued by CBEC.

• Notification No. 80/ 2017- Cus (NT) dated 17.08.2017 - Amendment to notification no. -83/2012- Customs (N.T.) dated 17.09.2012

Vide this notification, the government hereby specifies the classes of importers who shall pay customs duty electronically namely-

1. Importers registered under Authorised Economic Operator Programme, and
2. Importers paying customs duty of ten thousand rupees or more per bill of entry.

This notification shall come into force w.e.f. 01^st September, 2017.

• Notification No. 81/2017-Cus (NT),dt. 17.08.2017   [Effective from 18th August, 2017]

Vide this notification, CBEC hereby notifies the exchange rate of conversion of each of the foreign currencies into Indian currency or vice versa relating to import and export of goods. These rates shall be effective from 18^th August, 2017.
