JNCH (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public Notice No. 154/ 2017 dated 05.12.2017 informing about the new procedures regarding the selection and scanning of Mulund (ICD) bound containers at JNCH.
As you are aware, containers imported at JNCH and heading to Mulund ICD are being subjected to scanning at Customs Security Deposit (CSD), JNCH, in order to improve non- intrusive examination.
The intimation about containers selected for scanning is automatically communicated to Terminal operators at JNPT, Liners, CSD (JNCH), CONCOR (Custodians of ICD-Mulund) and Designated DC/AC of Mulund ICD by Email. During the meeting of representatives of CONCOR, Terminal Operator and Customs officers held at JNCH on 06.11.2017, all stakeholders have agreed to adopt the following procedures in relation to scanning of containers imported at Nhava Sheva and heading to Mulund ICD.
