Sub: Procedure for dealing with " Shipping Bill copies" consequent to doing away of " Exchange Control Copy" and " Export Promotion Copy" of shipping bill vide Board Circular No. 55/2016-CUS dated 23.11.2016

Dear Member,

This is to inform you that Air Cargo Customs (Sahar) has issued Public Notice No. 45/2017 dated 14.12.2017 on the above subject.

Your attention is invited to the Board Circular No. 55/ 2016- Cus dated 23.11.2016 and Public Notice No. 47/ 2016 dated 29.11.2016 issued by Air Cargo Customs wherein it was decided to stop the printing of the ‘Exchange Control Copy” and “Export Promotion Copy” of the shipping bill as it does not serve any useful purpose.

In this regard, representations have been received by Air Cargo Customs regarding difficulty faced by trade and industries.

Now, the matter has been examined and it is decided that the exporters have to follow the procedures prescribed in the Public Notice No. 45/ 2017 in respect of the proof of exports.
