TO MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL,

Re: Interactive Workshop on Going Global through B2C E-commerce Marketplaces for Product Manufacturers, Exporters, Retailers and Online sellers

We are pleased to inform you that FICCI-Confederation of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (CMSME) is organizing an Interactive Workshop on Going Global through E-commerce Marketplaces for B2C Product Manufacturers, Exporters, Retailers and Online sellers as per the following schedule.

Date: Friday, February 02, 2018
Time: 02.30pm – 06.30 pm
Tentative Venue: Crystal Room, Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai

In the current global setting, MSMEs are faced with their traditional markets being eroded. Consequently, new inroads are being made by new market development tools such as e-commerce. A recent study by FICCI-CMSME and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade SME Center highlights that the number of digital buyers worldwide is expected to grow to 2.07 billion in 2019 from 1.3 billion in 2014, presenting huge opportunities for sellers present on these marketplaces.

Traditionally, Indian entrepreneurs and business houses have exported goods through a B2B mode. Now, with the growing acceptance and significant growth of B2C e-commerce as a mainstream channel for retail, cross-border B2C ecommerce as a way of exports is a viable and significant opportunity.

Realizing the important role that an e-marketplace can play as a B2C export tool for MSMEs for expanding their markets, FICCI-CMSME has partnered with various stakeholders such as Amazon, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and others to organize this session. The workshop aims to help retailers, manufacturers, exporters, online sellers & brands from sectors such as leather, apparel, plastics, beauty, handicrafts, Toys and others to understand the process of taking their business global through e-marketplaces.

The session will also have presentations from individual service providers in the areas of Imaging & Cataloguing, Banking, Taxation & Logistics which are key components of selling products online.

Considering your possible interest in expanding your products globally, you will be able to gain valuable exposure / expertise for exploring possibilities of expanding your current business further through B2C E-Commerce.  Hence, you may like to immediately send your message to obtain more inputs including confirmation of your participation in Seminar directly to FICCI on the basis of the following contact details :
