Sub: Amendments in Handbook of Procedures 2015-20
Dear Member,
As you are aware, the Mid-term Review of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-20 released on 5th December, 2017 had introduced a new scheme known as “Self Ratification Scheme” under which Advance Authorizations will be issued to eligible exporters in those cases where there are no SION/valid Adhoc Norms for an export product and where SION has been notified but exporter intends to use additional inputs in the manufacturing process on the basis of self declaration. Further, the Scheme will greatly help in expediting exports in a number of important Sectors such as engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, including textiles since these Sectors have dynamic raw material requirements. This Scheme will also lead to immense ease of trading.
DGFT has now issued Public Notice No.68/2015-20 dated March 22, 2017 making amendments in the Hand Book of Procedures 2015-20 by adding a new para 4.07A “Self-Ratification Scheme” below the existing para 4.07 of HBP 2015-20.
DGFT has also amended Appendix 4K relating to Format of Chartered Engineer Certificate for fixation of SION / Adhoc Norms under para 4.07A of HBP/Self Ratification Scheme which is annexed to this Public Notice.
