Sub.: Circular No. 2 (2018-19 series) under ATUFS dated 26.04.2018
Dear Member,
We would like to inform you that the O/o Textile Commissioner has issued Circular No. 2/ 2018- 19 dated 26th April, 2018 under Amended Technology Up gradation Fund Scheme (A- TUFS).
As you may be aware, as per Para 6.5.1 of Guidelines of Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (ATUFS) dated 29.02.2016 it was mandated to submit the application for Joint Inspection Team (JIT).
The Para 6.5. 1 is given here below-
"After satisfactory installation/commissioning of the machinery and commencement of commercial production, the applicant shall immediately submit his/ her request for the same in prescribed format (Format-4) to the Textile Commissioner i.e. within one year from the date of sanction of term loan for undertaking physical verification by a JIT using i-ATUFS software. This timeline is extendable upto two (2) years on case to case basis with the approval of the Textile Commissioner. The Textile Commissioner will record in writing the reasons for giving such extensions".
Now, O/o Textile commissioner has directed that all the applications for extending the timeline for JIT upto 2 years will be submitted only by using i-ATUFS software so that the same can be processed with First in First out (FIFO) feature, as it will ensure transparency in processing these applications.
Further, It is informed that for extension of JIT request beyond one year, documentary proof of the order placed for machinery has to be provided. The link for the same is available at http://itufstxcindia.gov.in/Atufs/AtufsUIDJITextensionListing.aspx
A transition period of 15 days is however given from the date of issue of the circular which means that the circular will come in to effect from 11.05.2018.
