Re: Participation in Hong Kong Fashion Week (Spring/Summer) from 9th to 12th July 2018
As informed earlier, the Council is organizing participation of its member-companies in Hong Kong Fashion Week being held in Hong Kong from 9th to 12th July 2018.
Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer is Asia’s largest Fashion Event, and one of the most well-established Events in Hong Kong. This Int’l Fair offers a wide spread of the latest in fabrics, made-ups, yarn, fashion accessories and apparels, and it provides an excellent opportunity to participants as debut zones to optimize buyers’ sourcing selection. The premium Fair in the region is expecting around 1,200 worldwide exhibitors. Previous edition of the Fair attracted 13,285 buyers from 68 countries and regions.
Hong Kong – A huge Textile Market:
Hong Kong's Textiles Industry, which has become the “World Trading Hub”, serves not only the local clothing manufacturers, but also those on the Chinese mainland and other offshore production bases. Capitalizing on the long experience in the manufacture of textiles, many Hong Kong companies are also engaged in textile trading. It is also strong in cotton spinning, denim weaving, knit-to-shape panel knitting and fine-gauge cotton knit manufacturing.
Asia is the leading market for textiles exported from Hong Kong – accounting for 93% of the total textile exports. Of the top 10 destinations for textiles exported from Hong Kong, 9 of them are in Asia with the Chinese mainland being the predominant export market.
Highlights of the Fair:
Name of the Event : Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer
Venue : Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong
Dates : 9-12 July 2018 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
Organizers : Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
SRTEPC is organizing participation of member-companies from fabrics/yarn and accessories section, while AEPC is organizing participation of its members from apparel section.
No. of booths : SRTEPC has decided to take 25 booths to make “India Pavilion” at Fabrics/Accessories Zone.
Product Coverage : All kind of Fabrics, Made-ups, Yarns, and Apparels / Clothing (Spring / Summer collection), Fashion / Clothing Accessories, Jewelries, Hand Bags and other related items.
Size of furnished booths : Though the standard size of booth is of 9 sqm size, a very limited number of 6 sqm sized booth will be available for accommodating very small companies.
Participation Charges:
Costs of a 9 sqm booth : After offering MAI grant of Rs. 1 Lakhs on the actual cost of a booth of Rs. 2.60 Lakhs to eligible participants, highly subsidized participation fee payable to SRTEPC is Rs. 1.60 Lakhs.
Early Bird Discount (for a 9 sqm booth) : Rs. 10,000 (if duly filled in Application Form and payment is made to the Council on or before 25th May 2018). Hence net amount payable will be Rs. 1.50 Lakhs after Early Bird Discount.
Costs of a 6 sqm booth (a very few booths reserved fo rsmall companies) : After offering MAI grant of Rs. 70,000 on the actual cost of a booth of Rs. 1.85 Lakhs to eligible participants, highly subsidized participation fee payable to SRTEPC is Rs. 1.15 Lakhs.
Early Bird Discount (for a 6 sqm booth) : Rs. 5,000 (if duly filled in Application Form and payment is made to the Council on or before 25th May 2018). Hence net amount payable will be Rs. 1.10 Lakhs after Early Bird Discount.
(Amount of participation fee after 25th May 2018 will be Rs. 1.60 Lakhs and Rs. 1.15 Lakhs for 9 sqm and 6 sqm sized booths respectively)
Council will accommodate all participants in a demarcated area called “India Pavilion” to get focused attention of visiting buyers to meet/discuss business with their Indian Counterparts/Exhibitors.
The Council will also assist participants to obtain VISA and arrange Hotel accommodations, besides helping them arrange their travelling to Hong Kong to participate in the Fair effectively. Furthermore, the Council is also planning to arrange lunch packets for participants during the Fair.
Since confirmation of participation will be based on First-Cum-First-Serve basis, you are requested to immediately confirm your participation by duly filling-in “Application Form” and sending payments at the earliest.
