Sub : Public Notice No.33 dated 23.10.2017 applied to all scrips under Chapter 3 of FTP.
Dear Member,
This is to inform you that DGFT has issued Trade Notice No. 08/2018-19 dated 15th May, 2018 referring to the Public Notice No. 33 dated 23rd October, 2017 where the validity of Duty Credit Scrips under Chapter 3 issued on or after 01.01.2016 shall be valid for a period of 24 months from the date of issue.
In this connection, DGFT had received representations from the members of Trade seeking clarification whether this increased validity is applicable to scrips issued under Chapter 3 of the FTP of other policy periods or not.
DGFT has examined the above issued and noted that all Chapter 3 scrips are being issued under the provisions of the Handbook of Procedures 2015-20, which has been amended in the Public Notice 33 dated 23.10.2017.
Members of Trade are requested to note that Public Notice 33 dated 23rd October, 2017 applies to all scrips issued under Chapter 3 of FTP irrespective of the FTP period.
Further it is also informed that such scrip holders are not required to approach the Regional Authority (RAs) with the said scrips for any amendment in the validity period.
Members may kindly make a note of the above.
