Sub. : Increase in the validity period of Chapter 3 Scrips- clarification
Dear Member,
Kindly refer to the Council’s Circular No. ES/48/2018-19 dated May 17, 2018 wherein DGFT had issued Trade Notice No. 08/2018-19 dated 15th May, 2018 referring to the Public Notice No. 33 dated 23rd October, 2017 where the validity of Duty Credit Scrips under Chapter 3 issued on or after 01.01.2016 shall be valid for a period of 24 months from the date of issue.
Now, JNCH (Nhava Sheva) has issued Public Notice No. 81/2018 dated May 16, 2018 regarding increase in the validity period of Chapter 3 Scrips- clarification.
Members of Trade are requested to note that Public Notice 33 dated 23rd October, 2017 applies to all scrips issued under Chapter 3 of FTP irrespective of the FTP period.
Further it is also informed that such scrip holders are not required to approach the Regional Authority (RAs) with the said scrips for any amendment in the validity period.
