Re: Invitation to participate in HONG KONG FASHION WEEK (Spring/Summer) from 9^th to 12^th July 2018

As you are aware, SRTEPC is organizing participation of its member-companies in HONG KONG FASHION WEEK (HKFW) – one of Asia’s largest Fashion Event, and one of the most well-established Events in Hong Kong being held in Hong Kong from 9^th to 12^th July 2018. During this Fair, member-companies – exporting/manufacturing fabrics, made-ups, fashion accessories and yarn may like to showcase their exclusive range of products to meet their target customers for discussing business.

Why to participate in HKFW?

• Since Hong Kong's Textiles Industry is the “World Trading Hub”, many buyers do visit the above mentioned Fair from different Asian and other countries including China. Asia is the leading market for textiles – accounting for 93% of the total textile exports from Hong Kong. Of the top 10 destinations for textiles exported from Hong Kong, 9 of them are in Asia with the Chinese mainland being the predominant export market.
• HKFW is an effective promotional platform that reaches buyers from around the world. During the last edition of the Fair, 1,202 exhibitors participated from 18 countries & regions, and around 13,285 customers visited from 68 countries & regions.
• A total of 91 overseas Buying Missions were organized during the last edition of the Fair, which brought over 5,100 buyers from 45 countries and regions to the Fair. These included representatives from the renowned fashion labels, mega chain stores and major distributors, including HARDTOFIND from Australia, H&M from the Chinese mainland, V-Mart Retail from India, World Co from Japan, TRICYCLE from Korea, Forward from Russia, Adolfo Dominguez from Spain and Jaspal from Thailand.
• A focused channel, which puts the brands and the latest design from India in the limelight of the world’s Snapshots.
• Hong Kong is one of the biggest free trade areas in the world, which helps textiles exporters to use the same as a spring board to reach out to their discerning customers of textiles, who visit the Fair from different countries across the world.
• Based on the financial grant given by the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India, SRTEPC has offered a tailor-made and a very lucrative offer to its member-companies, particularly those not in a position to regularly meet their foreign customers abroad for discussing business.

Financial grants given by Ministry of Commerce

Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India in its efforts to help member-companies to participate in the above mentioned Fair in Hong Kong has offered an MAI grant of Rs. 1 lakh against the cost of Rs. 2.60 Lakhs for a 9 sqm sized booth. Accordingly, after the adjustment of the grant, and the offer of Rs. 10,000 as Early Bird Discount for confirming participation with payments on or before 25^th May 2018, participants will need to pay a net amount @Rs. 1.50 Lakhs only for a furnished booth of 9 sqm size.

Special arrangements for small member-companies

As part of our Government’s efforts to encourage small/marginal exporting companies to visit Int’l Fairs of repute to meet their prospective customers of textiles, SRTEPC has curved out a few smaller booths of 6 sqm size for its members at a rock bottom price of Rs. 1.10 Lakhs (after offering Rs. 70,000 for MAI grant) to participate in HKFW.

In addition to this, any member-companies of the Council with their annual export turnover not exceeding Rs. 30 Crores in the previous year (2017-18) and subject to the fulfillment of some basic conditions will also be eligible to get re-imbursement/refund of part costs (70-80%) of their air-fares.

SRTEPC’s assistance for VISA, Hotel accommodation and Travel arrangements

The Council will help member-participants to obtain their VISA to visit the Fair. Besides this, the Council will also work out a package rate for Hotel accommodation, besides offering service of an Official Travel Agent for booking their air-tickets. Participants will, however, be free to make their own arrangements.

In view of the above, since time available is very short to book space for participation in the above Fair, you are requested to confirm your participation with full payment by cheque/DD to be drawn in favor of “The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, Mumbai” along with the duly filled in enclosed “Application Form” at the earliest, but not later than 5^th June 2018.

In order to save time, member-participants may also like to make the above payment through RTGS/NEFT directly to the Council on the basis of SRTEPC’s Bank details given in the Application Form.
