Dear Member,

We would like to inform you that the 3rd Sub-Committee/Expert Committee of Technical Advisory Cum Monitoring Committee under ATUFS was held on 23rd May,2018 in the Chambers of the Textile Commissioner under the Chairpersonship of Dr. Kavita Gupta, IAS, Textile Commissioner.

On behalf of the Council our Executive Director, Shri S.Balaraju attended the meeting.

The points that emerged during the meeting are as follows:

  1. The Committee had gone through the list of machinery manufacturers 1257 (237  Indigenous machinery manufacturers and 1020 Imported machinery manufacturers) who have been enlisted with the Office of the Textile Commissioner before the issue of  Circular  No. 1 (2017-18 series) dt. 26.4.2017 without submitting the ISO certificate and other documents  and finalized the list of about 150 reputed machinery manufactures both Indigenous and Imported machinery manufacturers who need not submit ISO certificates because of their  standards and  acceptance by industry  throughout the world.
  1. As per Circular No. 7(2017-18 series) dated 5.1.2018, time limit for submitting/fulfilling the criteria as prescribed  in Circular No. 3 (2017-18 series) dated 22.5.2017 for the already  enlisted machine manufacturers before Circular No.3 (2017-18 series) dated 26.4.2017 and without submission of ISO certificate and other documents was till 21.5.2018, in absence of which, their enlistment will stand cancelled under ATUFS.  In this regard, it is informed that, the Sub-Committee in its meetings held on 5.3.2018 and 27.3..2018 reviewed and expanded the list of accreditation agencies/Authorities which could  be recognized for the purpose of giving ISO Certificates to the textile machine manufacturers who could be empanelled for supplying the machinery which are eligible for benefits under ATUFS.  Accordingly Circular No. 1 (2018-19) series dated 10.4.2018 had also been issued.

In view of the above, since the time limit for submission of documents has already been over by 21st May, 2018, it is decided that the cases where the documents were submitted by the machinery manufacturers may be processed within a week and a final list of machinery manufacturers enrolled under the Scheme may be published.

Members may kindly make a note of the above.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

S.BALARAJU
