Increase in the validity period of Chapter 3 Scrips- clarification

Dear Member,

We would like to inform you that the Air Cargo Complex (Sahar) has issued Public Notice No. 75/2018-19 dated 18th June, 2018 on the above subject.

Vide earlier Public Notice No. 33/2015-2020 dated 23rd October, 2017 issued by the DGFT, the para 3.13 of HBP 2015-2020 was substituted to read as under:

“Duty Credit Scrip issued on or after 01.01.2016 under Chapter 3 shall be valid for  period of 24 months from the date of issue and must be valid on the date on which actual debit of duty is made. Revalidation of duty credit scrip shall not be permitted unless covered under paragraph 2.20 (c ) of HBP.”

Vide the aforesaid Trade Notice No. 08/2018-19 dated 15th May, 2018, the DGFT has clarified that the Public Notice No. 33/2015-2020 dated 23rd October, 2017 applies to all scrips issued under Chapter 3 of Foreign Trade Policy irrespective of the FTP period.

In view of the aforesaid changes, members are advised to kindly avail benefit of aforesaid provisions/ relaxations.
